About GPF

What is the Good Practice Forum?

The Good Practice Forum is organized by the Digital Competence Centre [https://ckc.uw.edu.pl/] as a cyclical meeting of academic staff who deal with academic teaching on a daily basis. Its aim is to share know-how related to online teaching and digitally supported didactics: innovative solutions and tried-and-tested tricks, but also reporting what did not work.

The GPF is a space for dialogue and the exchange of experiences where members of the academic community can openly share their successes, challenges or difficulties in developing effective methods of transferring the knowledge transfer through digital media.

During this year’s meeting, we will discuss a range of good didactic practice, but this time in a broader scope. The discussions will also cover good practice related to the methodology of teaching in face-to-face classes, organization of studies, professional development of teaching staff, and support for students in the learning process. This year’s meeting will also have an international character.

What is not a Good Practice Forum?

The Good Practice Forum is not just another conference filled with long presentations. First and foremost, it is a meeting and space for discussion among practitioners. Hence, the event format – it will be based on short (max. 15-minute) speeches on specific issues. This format allows for a narrower focus on the practical aspects of educational activities, but at the same time providing a brief overview of the rich context or broader theoretical background of the given topic. We agree that these are often fascinating matters, and we also enjoy participating in such discussions.

However, during the Good Practice Forum, our aim is to concentrate only on the practical aspects of teaching, so that the audience could be inspired by examples of good practice and try to implement them in their own environment.
